Garage into Condominium


Often a historic building is adopted for new use while maintaining its essential character. This project envisioned constructing condominiums behind the façade of the historic garage. My evaluation found that the project met the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation and that it was also compatible with the Uptown Tenderloin Historic District

Project concept. The façade is preserved and an 8-story condominium is constructed behind it.
